Overview

HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) course is a unit of competency, providing the skills and knowledge required to perform CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council.

This course combines theoretical and practical components, and is suitable for anyone in the general public and workers or professionals in healthcare, fitness, education, trade, and many more industries. The Australian Resuscitation Council recommends that a CPR refresher course should be undertaken every 12 months, separately or as part of a First Aid refresher course.

While we encourage all adults to complete a first aid course, CPR as a part of basic life support, may lead to saving someone’s life. Training in CPR allows you to manually preserve brain function until specialised treatment becomes available.

Enrolment Requirements:

As this course is a nationally recognised course you will need a basic level of physical competency to meet the necessary performance level required for this course. This means you need to be able to perform CPR on an adult and infant manikin placed on the floor for a period of two minutes and respond to an emergency situation where there may be risk to life.

You are not required to have any prior medical training before enrolling in this CPR course and it is appropriate for both first-time learners and as a refresher course.

Contact us or call 9439 1673 to book a class or request one of our trainers to provide training at your workplace.
